Quilts for Wounded and
Returning Veterans.

This is a call for volunteers which
are interested helping out our
Veterans, in several areas such as
grouping fabrics, cutting fabrics,
piecing fabrics, quilting and
sewing on bindings, among other
things.  We will also be looking
for donated fabrics, batting, and
supplies.  If this is something you
would be interested in
participating in give the shop a
call, leave your phone number
and name, we will combine a list
and put a meeting together.

Asking for Sewing Donations
There is a group of ladies here in Lynden that make dresses from pillow
cases for young girls, shorts for boys as well as some quilts for the older
children.  If you have any lace, ribbons, buttons, elastic, thread, fabric, or
pillow cases in good condition these wonderful ladies could use your
help.  Mike and Chris Leland raised some finances to purchase 3 brand
new small sewing machines and also provided additional donated
machines.  Now we need to concentrate on supplies. These ladies spend
countless hours sewing for unfortunate children and could certainly use
your help. They will also accept financial help to keep the machines in
good working order and obtain additional supplies.  Give Tangled
Threads a call with your donations and Thank you.  If you would like to
see an example of what they do stop into the shop and see some of the
pillow case dresses.
